Best Season for Langtang Valley trek
Nepal’s outdated peak seasons provide the best months for trekking the Langtang valley. However, due to Langtang’s comparative low altitude cloud cover can occur. Having an extra leisure day is beneficial to outlast the cloud. It is important to consider that the low altitude can also result in winter trekking more so than another trekking area. Trekking Langtang in monsoon can be problematic due to landslide and frequent rainfall, you should avoid monsoon season to trek in Langtang valley.
Like Annapurna Circuit and Everest Base camp, Spring (March to May) and Autumn (September to November) is the best time to trek Langtang valley.
Mid-September to October and November to early December are considered as the peak season and the best time to trek Langtang valley.
February to April: in Nepal, these months are the end of the dry season and consider as the second-best time to trek Langtang valley. This time of year is the time of blooming which is the added advantage of the surrounding countryside. The average temperature ranges from 0.6 to 7.3 degrees Celsius. This season the temperature will be mild and stable.
December to January/February: This time the skies will be clear but it can get extremely cold. The high passes do close due to thick snow on the trail and the trail will be isolated due to the extreme cold. The average temperature will drop below 0 degrees. The trail will be tough and challenging due to the extreme cold and icy trail.
May to June: This is the time of hot Pre-monsoon which means things get uncomfortable and humid. And also, the time of frequent rainfall; the trail will be slippery and tough to hike on the muddy trail.
June to Mid-September: This is monsoon/ summer season in Nepal and only a few trekkers make their way to Langtang valley. This season is not so popular to trek in Nepal. The risk of landslide and the muddy rough trail is evident and trekking is not suitable. The view will not be so clear.

Itinerary
Day 1: Drive to Syabru Beshi (1450m 7 hours)
Day 2: Trek to Lama Hotel (2410m- 6 hours)
Day 3: Trek to Langtang (3545m- 7 hours)
Day 4: Trek to Kyanging Gompa (3800m – 3 hours)
Day 5: Hike to Kyangin Ri (4700m 4-5 hours) and back to Kyanging Gompa
Day 6: Descend trek to Lama Hotel (5-6 hours)
Day 7: Trek back to Syabru Beshi (5 hours)
Day 8: Drive to Kathmandu
Day 1: Drive to Syabru Beshi (1450m 7 hours)
You will start your drive after early morning breakfast. Today the dive will take 7 hours to reach Syabru Beshi via the Bank of Trishuli River.
Overnight at Syabru Beshi
Day 2: Trek to Lama Hotel (2410m- 6 hours)
After early morning breakfast, you will follow the ascending trail for 2 hours after a few hours hike will lead you towards Bamboo where you will stop for lunch.
After lunch, you will follow the leveled trails you will see the beehives hanging on the cliffs and, you will hike through the dense forest and ascending trail to reach the Lama hotel.

Day 3: Trek to Langtang (3545m- 7 hours)
After early morning breakfast, you will hike through the rhododendron forest for 3 hours lead you to Ghoda Tabela. You will stop for lunch after 3 hours walk.
You will enjoy hiking through the dense forest, herbs in the area, and clear stream. Another walk through a scenic trail by crossing the wooden bridge and suspension bridge you will finally reach the Langtang valley.

Day 4: Trek to Kyanging Gompa (3900m – 3 hours)
Today the hike will be shorter, is more like a leisure day, Kyanging gompa is a serene and stunning place that offers you the scenic views of Mt. Ganchenpo and Mt Langtang Lirung. The main attraction of the short hike is the monasteries, cheese factory, and the unique settlements of local people.

Day 5: Hike to Kyanging Ri (4700m) & Back to Kyangin Gompa
Today you will explore the stunning natural beauty and serenity of the Gompa area. You can enjoy the stunning mountain views as well as the pleasure of a peaceful environment. You can also climb up to the Kyangin Ri at 4700m and also reach the Langtang Glacier and the scenic Yak Pasture called Langshisha Kharka. After a tough Hike, you will back to Kyanging Gompa by following the same trail.

Day 6: Descend trek to Lama Hotel (5-6 hours)
Today you will have a pleasant hike back to Lama Hotel from Kyangin Gompa through the scenic trail. This is the second last day of the Langtang valley trek. It is not so tough to hike down rather than going up.

Day 7: Trek back to Syabru Beshi (5 hours)
You will enjoy hike back to the same trail through the forest of Bamboo and Rhododendron. You can see the rain deer and red panda while passing through the trail.

Day 8: Drive to Kathmandu (7 hours)
Today you will take a drive after early morning breakfast. You can enjoy your evening at the tourist hub Thamel.
